# \_\_prototype\_\_ && custom easing scroll bar

Hello Gang!

I have looked at a couple of custom scroll bars that load dynamic text and I always see **prototype** in the code. I have a couple of questions:[LIST=1]  
[_]Can a custom easing scroll bar be made without a **prototype**?  
[_]Does anyone have a good tutorial on a **DYNAMIC** text scroll bar? I don’t want to use masking to accomplish this if at all possible.  
[\*]Where can I learn what **prototype** is? I haven’t taken any PC classes, so I will need a very down-to-earth explaniation.[/LIST]Thanks for taking the time to read this. If you have a pre-made easing scroll bar and would like to attach it that would be great. BTW, I hate clipEvents and put 90% of my code on the main time line. Please don’t give me a crappy Flash 5 example with code everywhere.
