I am using as3. Is there a way to have after a button is pressed the movie will play for a few frames, say 10, and then automatically go to the frame label. EX: Click\>10frames\>gotoAndplay(“example”)? ---

Sure, you could put a listener to the enterframe event and a counter which counts down and if the counter is 0 delete the listener and go to the frame label. Search the forum for “Event Enterframe” and for “go to frame label”, you should be able to find plenty of stuff…if you still have some questions, feel free to post. hth Carlo ---

The Timer class is probably a better choice. ---

Why Timer if he needs to check for frames? (just curious!)
