# 1024 resolution question

Hello all

I have a rather quick question

I am making a website designed for 1024x 768 destop size,

But, that does not mean that I have the whole 1024 pixels by 768 pixels to work with.

Correct?

With that in mind can someone tell me perhaps how much “true” pixel space I have to work with?

perhaps a a 912 x 684 “safeframe” for all the content, would be smart?
