# 32 bit argb color value question

does anyone know where I might find a chart or an explanation of the 32 bit argb color value system. I can’t seem to find much documentation anywhere. I guess I understand the rgb aspect, but what letters/numbers belong to what alpha level is somthing I have no idea about. A little enlightenment please, beyond the default 0xFFFFFFFF == white.
