# 3D effect on SI.com

Hey all,

I was just looking at the Sports Illustrated website (for the articles, not the models of course :afro:) when I stumbled upon this 3D section. They have pictures of the models on a beach for example. As you rollover the background, the model image gets blurry as if to simulate Depth of Field with a camera and hence a 3d sense is achieved.

Is this done with Flash? If so, how’d they do that?
