Alright, I’m trying to design a football helmet in swift 3D, obviously the lathe editor is what I’d want to use but I’m still realitivly new to the program. If someone could help me with the design layout for the helmet that would be great. I’m going to post it on my schools website because we are in the second round of the playoffs which is the farthest our school has ever made it. So, any help at all would be great. Even if you just send me a link to a tutorial that would really help. Greatly appreciate it.

If you have another 3d app try to model it under c4d or max for instance, save it as a 3ds and import it in swift, im not sure swift’s modeler is that great (although I’ve never used the latest one)

Try this it might have what your looking for, but Mlk is rite you will probally have to import from another program… i would check to see if some this link had what you were lookin for but i dont own and ‘high grade’ 3d apps… it also depends how 3d you want the helmet to be, do you want it to be like a thick logo or do you want it to be totally 3d, meanin. do you wanna be able to see the inside of the helmet

check this link out anyway

man modelling that in swift will be next to impossible. Not enough modelling tools. Find a prefab model maybe at [www.3dcafe.com](http://www.3dcafe.com) then import in and texture.

thanks a lot, wish I knew of 3D cafe sooner, it had exactly what I wanted. I really wish I had the higher 3D apps, but regualr Swift is all I had. I spent so long working on making a helmet and that really helps me out.

they have trial versions of most of popular app…things like maya ple. go to the websites of the major apps and download a couple and play around. I would suggest maya ple. Or discreet gmax which is free but has some limitations. They also have free apps like Blender. There are ways to get into 3d.

Alright thanks a lot, I didn’t like the blender to much, but it probably gets some getting used to. Maya was pretty good except when you rendered a project and it came up covering you project with it saying “Not for Commercial Use”. Anyway the reason I needed this will be up on my school website soon.

My schools web site is- [www.Anchorbay.misd.net](http://www.Anchorbay.misd.net)

Again thanks a lot
