# 3ds max 5 problem

When i collapse any shape and convert into editable mesh and click vertex, program closes. It doesnt do this when i click polygon or anything else. I searched on yahoo about any related topic but none. I have Windows XP, p 4, 128 mb ram. Does anyone know about that?
