KPMG pulling a report because the AI hallucinated about AI is the most 2026 sentence possible. It’s a good reminder that “generated” text still needs boring human verification, especially when it’s being used to justify policy or budgets.

KPMG pulling a report because the AI hallucinated is grimly funny, but it’s the same failure mode every time: people treat generated text like it’s a source instead of untrusted input. If a claim can’t be traced back to a primary doc, it shouldn’t survive the first edit pass.
