The UK face-scanning for “age checks” is the one that makes me uneasy — in buildings we don’t accept a measurement tool that’s known to be off when the stakes are safety, so it’s wild to use it for life-changing immigration decisions. The Atlantic making the music datasets searchable feels like the right kind of sunlight, even if it’s going to get messy fast.
