Hey there guys,
well i wrote post a while ago on how to make a preloader… in a way im still having a few problems with it. So i thought, a preloader with JUST the percentage (no loading bar) might be easier to explain.
If it is, could someone please tell me how its done?
If i get it, then my site would be sooo much better… it’ll look more professional. Can anyone please help me… _puppy face_

I think that there are over half a dozen tutes about this on this site, you know 😛 Did you try them?

I cant find any that have JUST percentages…
i mean i found the preloaders with the bars and all… is there any other sites that explains how to do it with just the percentage?

I wanna do the same thing but in Flash 5. Any good percentage load tutorials for Flash 5 out there? :!:

But I can’t even view the example .fla file because of compatibility issues. It only opens up in Flash MX most likely.

Yeah, if the file was done in MX you can’t view it in Flash 5.
But you don’t NEED the sample files to do the tutorial. Read and follow the tutorial, it’s what it is there for, to teach you how to do it yourself, not to download the source file at the end and copy and paste when you need it :-\

lostinbeta, I was trying to download the file so I could see how it was done and then try it myself because I am trying to add this to animation that I created so it wouldn’t have been a simple matter of copying and pasting it. I do try to do everything myself which is why I hate examples that have reams and reams of code and I will end up not using that example…🙂
