Hi guys, long time since I’ve posted.

I was wondering if anyone can help me with an idea I have.

Basically I want to be able to feed an image in to flash as a raster image, and it be converted to a vector image and scaled relevant to the surface area available.

I’m just thinking out aloud but do you think this would be possible, its just for a little personal project I am working on at the moment.

Cheers

I know scaled relevant to surface is very possible. Just takes some simple math. As for converting to vector, I highly doubt it would be easy. If it was, you wouldn’t need to fine tune the “vectorized” drawings in photoshop or similar programs. Besides, think of the processing power that would be necessary! Trace bitmap alone can crash your computer if the integrity settings are high enough.

But that’s my opinion anyways.

Use server-side MING to make it into an swf before loading, then do whatever you want…
