# About creating photo gallery

Hi there,
I was just reading the tutorial on creating your own photo gallery at [http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/photogallery.htm](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/photogallery.htm) and I was just wondering:
Im new at this,so this tutorial seems to assume that you already know the ropes with flash. Anyhow, I’m using mx pro 2004 and I wasn’t sure how to create a “new movie”. Any ideas? There is no option for “new movie”. Thanx ahead of time!

hi, in mx pro 2004 when you start flash, there should be a start welcome screen where the stage would normally be titled: "Macromedia Flash MX Professional 2004"
and underneath that in the middle row should be subtitled “Create New”, and just click “Flash document”, and that is your new movie.
I hope im not being a real dumass in saying this, and making an absolute fool of myself, but that is my understanding of what a flash movie is. If i’m wrong, please, someone tell me.
