# Access of possibly undefined property

this works:  
getChildByName(showArray\*).visible = true;

this doesnt:  
getChildByName(showArray\*).mouseEnabled = true;

I am getting an error:

```auto
1119: Access of possibly undefined property mouseEnabled through a reference with static type flash.display:DisplayObject.

```

and these are movieClips inside of an array
