# Action? goandplay?

Hey!

For several hours i been trying to understand the basics of the actions in Flash 8, but without luck! ![](http://www.kirupa.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif)

I’m trying to make my button open a movie in the same scene… But no matter what i try it won’t work!?

Please help me. Or guide me to a tutorial for Flash 8 where a button starts a movie clip, or opens a ned mask in the same scene…
