# ActionScript 3 code meanings

I have just started learning ActionScirpt 3.0 and Server-Side ActionScript  
I have been reading lots of tutorials. And, i come across these pieces of code often:  
+"/n"  
i++  
i=0;  
But i am clueless i don’t understand what there suppose to do lol. Can someone please explain the meanings. Thank You
