Grrr, spent all morning trying to intergrate a xml feed into the countdown clock from the tutorial offered on this site.

var eventDate;
var race\_time;
var race\_location;
var raceYear = race\_year;
var raceMonth = race\_month;
var raceDay = race\_day;
var raceHour = race\_hour;

var clock\_xml = new XML();
clock\_xml.ignoreWhite = true;
clock\_xml.onLoad = function(success) {
if (success) {
race\_time = clock\_xml.lastChild.lastChild;
race\_location = clock\_xml.firstChild.firstChild.firstChild.firstChild;
race\_year = race\_time.childNodes[1].lastChild;
race\_month = race\_time.childNodes[2].lastChild;
race\_day = race\_time.childNodes[3].lastChild;
race\_hour = race\_time.childNodes[4].lastChild;
}
};

clock\_xml.load(“clock.xml”);
eventDate = new Date(parseInt(raceYear), parseInt(raceMonth), parseInt(raceDay));

The problem seems stem from the XML data coming in as a string which then needs to be converted into a integer for the new Date(); object.
Can anyone please help?
