# Adding a "sort by" function to a gallery

Hi all,

I have a portfolio page that showcases my work, and am interested in offering the ability to “filter” the thumbmails of each by various tags.

This can be seen in action here [www.thefwa.com](http://www.thefwa.com). The sorting buttons are at the top left.

I’ve read through some of the quicksort tutorial here on kirupa, but am not sure that it’s really what I’m looking for:
