I am having a serious dillema of being unable to get two xml nodes side by side. Here is my current actionscript 3 code:

var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
var xmlURL:URLRequest = new URLRequest(“xml\_text.xml”);
xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, xmlLoaded);
xmlLoader.load(xmlURL);

var xmldata:XML = new XML();
xmldata.ignoreWhitespace = true;
function xmlLoaded(evt:Event):void {
xmldata = XML(xmlLoader.data);
trace(xmldata.news1.date1+xmldata.news1.content1)
}

here is my xml:

\<?xml version=“1.0” encoding=“utf-8” ?\>
\<textdata\>
\<news1\>
\<date1\>9/25/08\</date1\>
\<content1\>Currently testing xml loading in flash\</content1\>
\</news1\>
\</textdata\>

here is the current output:

\<date1\>9/25/08\</date1\>
\<content1\>Currently testing xml loading in flash\</content1\>

here is my desired output:

9/25/08 Currently testing xml loading in flash

Please help me get my desired output! i am pretty new to actionscript 3
