Hi,

I’m building a swf player in AS3 that loads AS2 swfs(ie AVM1Movies).

I’d like to know if it is at all possible to control the playback and access properties of this loaded swf. I need to call stop() and access \_currentFrame and \_totalFrames. From this:

[http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/langref/index.html](http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/langref/index.html)

it doesn’t look like it’s possible.

Fyi, I’m getting my AVM1Movie from my Loader Object like this:

var avm1:AVM1Movie = AVM1Movie(loader.content);

Must I convert my SWFS to AS3 in order to access stop() and the frame information?

Thanks

Alternatively, I believe that you can use the LocalConnection class to communicate (and make method calls, etc.) between the two SWFs.
