# AH heck! HD crash!

My HD crashed hardcore. I lost my source files!!! This may be impossible, but is there a way to just open up the SWF in any way?!? I put so much time into this stupid thing just for it to spontaneously crash :-/ If anything I just want to change the text in the news page 'cause I load everything else dynamically.
I can’t believe I didn’t back this up. Help a poor soul if possible.

sorry dude, but no chance in getting back .flas unles you fix your hdd…
try SWF-decompiler (Sothink) to get some of scripts back…

the other option is to take your HD to a recovery specialist. It is expensive, and you have to pay by the Meg recovered…

try importing swf into Flash and maybe try Swf scanner ([www.download.com](http://www.download.com))

Thanks for you suggestions y’all… I actually dug through the HD and found an old version of the fla… I’m gonna have to reprogram a bunch of it, but it’s not too bad. I remembered that I had some of the same code and symbols in another FLA, so I’m just gonna take some out of there. It just worked so nicely together!

Wow man! very nice job on that intro and site! i am doing my site right now but currently putting it aside to finish learning ActionScript and PHP. I reformated w/o a backup a little while back (of accident of course) and it sucks. at least you can find some stuff! Just thought i would say nice job!
