# AI copilots can inflate confidence faster than skill

i keep noticing copilots can make a bad answer feel weirdly convincing for a few minutes. that part is kind of the trap for me — the speed goes up before the judgment does.

has anyone else felt more confident using them and then had to double-check themselves later? i’m curious whether that’s just a phase or the actual long-term tradeoff.

The “weirdly convincing for a few minutes” thing is real — I’ve caught myself shipping a suggestion because it _sounds_ like the kind of fix.
