Hey, after some complaints of AI v2, I’ve decided to build my own v3 using all flash. 1. I was playing around with Pom’s Matrix effect displayed in the kirupaLab section. I’ve tried to copy the animation to my new interface, but it’s not showing up. I copied the AS to the first frame of a MC in my movie. Then I copied the font file in the library over to mine. But for some reason, it doesn’t show up. But when I tried to put the AS of the movie inside a MC and play it on the actual matrix.fla file, it runs fine. What am I missing here? 2. Can anyone point me toward a tutorial on how I can click a button and make a swf load in the content section? I’ve seen this tutorial somewhere before, but that was when I first started. =) ---

1. Theres no point of attaching my fla because it’s like, 12MB. Just try to recreate the effect seperately from the original and see if it works. =) ---

☹ Ok, try to explain the process to me then. I’m a bit slow obviously. I opened up a blank fla. Created a MC and put the AS on the first keyframe of the MC. I put the MC on the stage. I open both the matrix.fla and myfile.fla and dragged the courir new font into my movie with the same linkage properties. But for some reason, it won’t work. =) ---

nope, i copied and pasted the code. it works fine. and the current version of effect doesn’t use Courier New, the font is called Katakana. which means you need to embed the font Katakana. 😛 😉 ---

What? I just opened the file, it says Courier New. When did it change to Katakana? =) ---

O god, I just fixed it. I opened up both flas and just dragged the MC from one to the other. Now it works, but I’m sure to come back for later problems. Thanks a lot. =) ---

Ok, as I planned, new problems. 1. The matrix effect turns out to be extremely processor intensive. I’ve adjust it to Medium quality and some people still say that either their computer gets really laggy or IE goes to Not Responding mode after a while. If I turn it to Low, then it’d look bad. I doubt theres any way to reduce the intensity, any ideas? 2. I know ahmed is making a tutorial on this sometime, but I need something to run off of for now. I want a transition effect everytime I click somethine in the Navi. So, it’d transition into another page. I’m not 100% sure if ahmed is trying to write something like that up though. =) ---

1. How? If you want to look at the code, it’s called Matrix done by Pom in kirupaLabs 2. I thought so, but when I searched up “transitions,” didn’t come up what I hoped for. =) ---
