# Alpha Channel of Imported Images

I have created in image in PhotoShop and have given it an Alpha channel. I’m trying to find a file format that i can save it in that will make it possible for flash MX to see the images Alpha channel. I have already tried \*.tif, \*.png, and \*.gif. :hair: Maybe I am saving them wrong. If there is anyone that would know how to do this I would be stoked thanks.

png is he file format to import if you want to maintain the alpha channel.

just make sure you save it with transparency enabled.
