I have some text which was set up with an alpha fade-in motion tween (0-100%) and worked fine until the text was made dynamicaly loaded from a text file and variable. Now it still shows the fade-in in work mode, but during play it just pops directly to the final 100% state.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Welcome to the forums HTuttle ! 🙂

This is because you can’t animate dynamic text without embedding the font outlines. If you embed the font outlines in your textbox, the animation should work.

You can embed the font outlines by pressing the Character button in the property inspector when having the textfield selected. In the window that pops up, you can embed your font outlines 🙂
