# Alpha fade on rollover

wow, i think this is like the 5th time i’m asking this question, no one could help-

ok, i’ll ask it differently this time. I just want the button to fade out on rollover. at the same time, i would like text (that is loaded externally in a text field called “caption”) to fade in also on rollover.

i’ve tried sooooo many things - scavenging this board and others.

suggestions pleasepleaseplease thanks!

thank you scotty, i so appreciate your help, what you did was exactly what i am trying to do but it is still not working for me. it might be bec. there’s quite a bit going on in my movie.

i can’t tell. if it’s not too much trouble, can you help me figure this out if you have the time?

Here you go. I changed it (the code) a little, your outline buttons are now mc’s and the picture are the buttons. I hope you want to fade the pics on rollover:)  
The loadtextscript and “get” js are in the actions layer. Those I didn’t test, so try it…  
Look in the first frame of the actionlayer there’s all the action.  
If you still have questions, just ask them;)
