# Amazon adds temporary fuel fee for marketplace sellers

Amazon is adding a temporary fuel surcharge for sellers as the Iran war drives up energy costs, but it won’t say when the extra fee will go away.

“Temporary” without an end trigger usually means sellers should budget as if it’s sticky, especially for low-margin bulky items that get punished twice.
