does anyone know a good tutorial for creating animated buttons in flash cs4?

im trying to create a button that is text and a thin line below it, then the action would be that when you rollover the text the line expands into a box below it showing sub menu options. ive tried doing a basic tutorial but when i try to make the shape tween it does not work.

any ideas would be appreciated.
