# Animating shadow character

Hi, im new to flash and just wondering whats the best way to animate a shadow character ? Draw a gazillion body parts in different positions and then animate frame by frame ? Or is there a better way ? By shadow character im meaning like a human form tinted dark to look like a shadow.
