# Annoying high pitched sound from monitor

its annoying and its driving me crazy, its wierd, it happens after a while in mozilla/word/what ever im in, if i minimize it, it goes away, how can i get it to stop? i turn the brightness down and it only temporarily solves the problem eventually i will have to just turn the monitor off!
