# Any way to alter application/x-shockwave-flash content?

I currently have an object that looks like this, however, I automatically pause the video for 5 seconds. I would like to be able to show a message after this 10 seconds. Is there a way to do this? Possiblly show something covering the video maybe? I would like the message to be contained within the video box. Is there a way to do this?

Any help/pointers/direction on where to go would be nice. Thank you.
