# Any way to import transparent .gifs as shapes?

I’m working on this tutorial:

but instead of a in flash created shape I have a logo that I want to use as the mask that I designed on adobe photoshop, but it seems like you can only use flash’s own shapes as masks and not graphics, buttons or movies from the library. can anyone help me?
