…somewhere between Everett and Bellingham ?

I’m flying up this Sunday (7-11) for a 10 day business trip @burlington and I’m wondering if there are any insights for bargain lodgings that aren’t on the internet that one of you guys could point me to ?

(bug-ridden, tweaker infested establishments excluded :ne: )

the hostels are all booked and the ‘well-known’ places don’t extend discounts during the summer :-/

What are the current rates?

Have you checked the standard motel type places? BestWestern, NoTel MoTel…

the best I found is about 40 a night (motel-6 in Everett) … mayhaps it’s the best I’ll find but, eh, thought i’d take these last couple of days to fish for the off chance there might be some little “local-secret place” hitherto unknown to the outside world …

(trying to shave/syphon a few more dollars off the expense $ for other good-stuff 😉 )

…pls help me be a cheapskate 😛

There might be some offline smaller locally owned motels you might find when you get there. Also if you’re a AAA member most of those chain motels will give you a discount. I have a AAA card, but I don’t want to head back up north.
