^ And install PHP.

I went with the MAMP route. It works nicely when I need it.

Apache is already installed. The best PHP installer is available [here](http://www.entropy.ch/software/macosx/php/).

You can get MySQL from it’s own site. If I remember correctly, it comes with an installer.

go the discussion forums on Mac site and follow the help there. As mac already has some part pre installed they are optimsed for OSX so you only need to add or update some parts.
