# Apache question!

I’ve looked at a lots of different posts on various sites and still can find out what Apache does.

Is it a program that is on your machine and acts like a webserver, in that it can be used to test websites including coding languages?:q:

Yes,  
it basically replaces IIS which comes with Windows;  
it’s a free Server used mostly in a combination of  
Apache/mySQL/PHP…

You could’ve just googled “apache”…
