I downloaded Pom’s excellent Matrix simulation off of KirupaLab to try to dissect the code and see how it works.

However, after I downloaded the code and font into a folder and loaded it into MX2004, the katakana font wouldn’t appear - it would just drizzle plain \_sans font code.

What’s more, when I try to directly copy all of the frames into a new clip to see what it’ll do, it refuses to resemble the original effect at all - the trails flash for an instant at the top of the screen then vanish completely. I’m not sure if this is a MX2004 issue or simply a bad version issue.

Then I noticed that while the downloaded code was “matrix2.fla,” the swf on the website said “matrix3.swf.” Is matrix3 some sort of updated version to fix bugs and/or work with MX2004? If so, is it possible to release it so we can take a peek at it?

Thanks. (Yes, I did search the forums.)
