# AS 3.0 and PHP to do directory and file search

Guys,  
Sorry if this sounds a bit easy for some of you guru’s out there but im completely new and trying to do the below so any help would be appreciated.

I am trying to create a flash (cs3 with as3) based page which allows a user to manage the files on the server. Rather then letting the user go manually to the server via ftp and changing the directory names and moving the files around I am trying to create a easy interface similar to explorer but on a flash page.

If anyone can let me know how PHP can do a search in a directory and return the directory names and the file names as well as the files within the directory would be appreciated.
