# AS3 - Action for Button?

I am working on this AS3 file, created a button and tried giving it an action to play scene1, frame 1. The action script console does not work (shows “current selection cannot have action applied to it”) - i am totally lost. Can someone PLEASE HELP. I have a button inside a movie clip (which is in scene1). When i click the button it should play the parent (scene 1, frame 1)
