# \[as3\]Best practices + Textarea Question

Hi there,

I would just like to know. If I have created a document class, is it best practice not to have code on the main timeline?

Also TextArea.setStyle(“textPadding”,10), pads the text in my text area along the x a nd y axis.  
Is there a way to pad it just along the x axis?
