# AS3 bitmap smoothing

Hello everyone, this is my first post here on Kirupa, I’m confident that you guys can help me out…

This should be simple, but I’m having a hell of a time finding an example. All I want to do is set the smoothing property to true for an image I’ve loaded from a URL. Can someone give me a simple function that does this? I’m sure there’s one out there, I just couldn’t find it.

Thanks in advance… sorry if this is a redundant topic.  
oh yeah, I’m using AS3.

When I use the code and preview the swf from Flash, it works fine. But once I upload it to the web and view it though a browser, anything after it isn’t exectued. Any ideas why?
