# AS3 noob - assitance with classes

Hello everyone,

I’m working on something that requires me to use global variables, and I understood that the only way to do it in AS3 would be to use classes. While this is extremely annoying for me, even more annoying is that for some reason, I just can’t make it work. I’ve combed the net for examples on how to create my own classes (with packages and all that), but none seem to work. I need it pretty badly.  
I’d appreciate it if someone could either direct me to a REALLY good step-by-step tutorial for the complete idiot, or give me a short one himself. I have to solve this!!! :hair:
