I have been developing a mario-esque platformer game engine in AS3. The engine is called the Citrus Engine. I’ve begun posting demos of the Citrus Engine on my website blog:

Features of the Citrus Engine:
[_]Physics-based engine, using Alec Cove’s APE ([http://cove.org/ape](http://cove.org/ape))
[_]Levels are created in XML and can be created using Adobe AIR Citrus Level Creator (in progress)
[\*]OOP class-based level object system providing easy additional characters, powerups, etc.
New demos will be coming out approximately once per week showing new features of the CE. I don’t currently have enough subscribers to make posting my methods worth the time, but if that changes, I’d be glad to post some Platforming tutorials and concepts.

Thanks,
Eric
