# AS3: replacing string in textField with a symbol, movieclip or entity

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me with this as I just cant work it out.

I have a dynamic textField and in it I need to display this “≥” greater-than-equal-to symbol. I am trying to parse my xml for any instances of the entities ‘≥’, ‘≥’ and ‘≥’ so I can then replace it with my sprite which looks like a “≥”.

Could someone help as ive spent days on this and I am not getting anywhere,
