# \[AS3\] String compression?

Hello,

just like the name of the thread says, I did a few searches on google and this forum, and I simply cannot find anything regarding compressing strings! The few resources I did find, discuss the ByteArray in AS3, saying it provides GZIP compression bla bla bla, but this doesn’t work for strings, or does it?

Any help is appreciated!
