# Asking too much

Someone sent me an email about a full-time webdesign position for a company in my area. The job requirements made me laugh. It almost sounds like a dude looked up every web technology he could find and pasted it into the skills requirements.

Required Skills:  
At least one year’s experience in the following software  
applications and web development technologies: Microsoft SQL  
Server 2000, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft IIS 5/6,  
Microsoft SMTP Service, Microsoft .NET Framework, Macromedia  
Dreamweaver MX/Studio, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator,  
ASP, [ASP.NET](http://ASP.NET), VBScript, javascript, HTML, DHTML, VB, C#,  
Stored Procedures, CSS, XML, XML web services, and SOAP.  
Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Desired Skills:  
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Server,  
Microsoft IIS 6, Apache, J2EE, JSP, Adobe Image Ready, and  
Coldfusion. Knowledge of USAF maintenance actions and  
information systems. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems  
or related field, with an academic emphasis on web  
development and graphics design technologies or software  
development preferred. An active Secret security clearance is  
highly desired.

I have seen a bunch of these lately on careerbuilder. They employer just asks for everything they can think of.
