[font=Verdana]In [/font][font=Verdana]Australia[/font][font=Verdana] we have 5 free to air TV stations.[/font]  
[font=Verdana][/font]  
[font=Verdana][/font][font=Verdana]\*\*ABC , \*\*[/font][font=Verdana]\*\*SBS , \*\*[/font][font=Verdana]\*\*7 , \*\*[/font][font=Verdana]\*\*9 , \*\*[/font][font=Verdana] **10 .** [/font]  
[font=Verdana][/font]  
[font=Verdana][/font][font=Verdana]The first 2 are government owned channels… Documentaries, World news etc…(Virtually no ads.)[/font]  
[font=Verdana][/font]  
[font=Verdana][/font][font=Verdana]The last 3 provide the main stream shows, Simpson’s, NYPD, CSI, Monk, Friends, Raymond, Alias, movies etc…. (Lots of ads)[/font]  
[font=Verdana][/font]  
[font=Verdana][/font][font=Verdana]While I am typing this I am watching “ **Law & Order** ”, after that I will watch “ **NCIS** ”, then late movie “ **Dirty Harry** ”.[/font]

[font=Verdana][/font][font=Verdana] **So what’s the point of this thread ?** [/font]  
[font=Verdana]We have laws that force Tv channels to have a % of Australian made shows.[/font]

[font=Verdana][/font][font=Verdana]The thing is, I can’t stand any Australian made Movies or Tv shows.[/font]  
[font=Verdana]To me they are all amateur crap !.[/font]  
[font=Verdana][/font][font=Verdana]Obviously part of the reason for this is financial. They can only afford one take, US movies/shows can retake till the cows come home.[/font]  
[font=Verdana]But as far as I am concerned that’s no excuse for C grade grap and wish they would drop that stupid % law and just give me american shows.[/font]

[font=Verdana][/font][font=Verdana]_Kyle Minoge & Holy Valance both got their start on “Neighbors”_[/font]  
[font=Verdana]_And that new Aussie Blonde chick in Alias got her start in “Home & Away”_[/font]
