i’ve been noticing that a lot of automation doesn’t just save time — it can make the manual version feel weirdly foreign when you need it later. that’s fine until something breaks and you realize you don’t trust your own hands anymore.

has anyone found a good balance here? like keeping enough manual reps around that the shortcut doesn’t turn into a crutch.
