# Beginner preloader question for gallery

Hey, I’ve converted an existing photo journal gallery i had in HTML to something based on the [Kirupa.com](http://Kirupa.com)’s photo gallery tutorial in flash MX, utilizing external jpg files for displaying each piece, I’ve tried some basic preloader tutorials, but really all they seem to load is the internal contents on the next scene… My question being a bit of a newbie with AS is how could I implement the preloader to load the jpegs also… or should I just attempt this in javascript ((which I’ve already tried, it results in a blank screen for about 20-30+ seconds for anyone on 56k or lower connection))… any help or suggestions would be oh so greatly appreciated, thanks in advance to any who assist.
