Hey guys. I am shopping for a new firewall and anti virus program. Any suggestions? I like Tiny Firewall but am not sure if there is something better.
What do you use?

I’m using AVG. It’s free for a personal copy. Works fine for now. Though one never knows until one has a problem. 🙂

AVG is probably your best choice around for antivirus software, as for firewall, your best bet would be with some hardware.

My parents use Norton Virus Protection and Firewall. :thumb:
They hate it, and would switch if they trusted free stuff. 😉

For me, hardware firewall is just one less thing running in the background.

I’ve been using McAfee for a while now and it has given me no problems. Doesn’t use much memory and it isn’t a pest.

Used to use AVG and I can recommend it.
When I got my laptop it had nortons installed and I can recommend AGAINST it. I just kept getting viruses…very annoying. So I switched to McAfee and I’ve had no problems at all. Easy to update, not to expensive, great :thumb:
depends what you want…
if you don’t mind spending cash on an antivirus I’d recommend McAfee.
if you’re looking for a free antivirus then defintely AVG
for a firewall, check out Zone Alarms free firewall…again, been using for 2 years and no problems :thumb:
