# Best way to manage fonts?

i intend to build up my font collection as time goes by and I am sure I once read somewhere that instead of placing fonts into my fonts folder - there was another palce they could be stored and used. So for example when photoshop loads - it does not take ages for all the fonts to be loaded - did i just dream this and am talking rubbish - or do you know what i mean 🙂
