# Binary Converson?

No sure this is the correct place for this question so I’ll apologize upfront.

Can someone please provide a layman’s definition of what binary conversion means? I’ve read plenty of info on the net that gives me the tech version but I still don’t understand how to explain this to my 12 year old. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
